Beauty and the Beast Quilt

The Blogger's Quilt Festival is starting over at Amy's Creative Side. I am submitting "Beauty and the Beast", # 107, as a Bed Quilt, it won 1st Place at the local County Fair. It lines up 114 (5") blocks in 14 rows.

This is the way we put it on our king size bed. My models are my mother and my friend, long arm quilter, Irene Hensley.

Irene quilted the piece adding lots of texture in the dead space. The quilting design she used gives it movement in the solid areas and still shows the block lineup. I love it!
