2015 Sampler Blanket

2015 Sampler Blanket (Quilt)
Block 1 January

My friend Rie at
Crafty Rie
started this monthly get together.
If you click on the blue link that says
Crafty Rie you can read all about it.

As you can see you can choose
what you make and how you make it!
My favorite way to work.

I will be using Cotton+Steel Basics
and Robert Kaufman Kona Solids on
My Sampler Quilt.

For January I decided to do one of my favorite blocks
Scrappy Trip Around The World (Blue words are the link to pattern)!

It is very simple and made out of 2 1/2 strips.
You can make quite a beautiful quilt
using these blocks but since this is a
sampler blanket/quilt each month
I will choose a different block with a link
or directions on how to make it just in
case you want to try a few new blocks!

If you find you really like making Scrappy Trip Around The World blocks
check out the flickr group Scrappy Trip Along - Bee
, next signups will be February 1st. The mail date is not until April 15th, so it give you plenty of time to make 5 blocks! I have participate for the last year and will continue until I have a King size quilt.

Here is what I have so far on the one I am doing in the Bee for our bed! Fingers crosses I will have enough by the end of 2015!

If you have not signup for the
Blog Anniversary Giveaway

As always - thank you for reading and following,
Let's Create and be unique,

  1. I love those scrappy trip blocks.

  2. You're a sweetie! I still haven't started my blanket as baby Laney is a lil terror... I turn my back & she pulls something out, I pick that up then she is in to something out. I sneak a shower & she pounds on the bathroom door. I go to make her dinner and she comes in & pulls my trousers down. I sit down, she climbs on top of me. I cry, she goes "awe" then whacks me in the face..............

  3. This is looking fantastic! Are you going to use C+S for all the blocks?
