PBS Fabrics Herringbone Baby Quilt

Image
I recently was offered opportunity to sew with   Paintbrush Studio Fabrics  Painters Palette Solid to making a Herringbone Baby Quilt. The company sent the fabric and it was  like Christmas around here. The PBS Fabrics wanted to highlight the Painters Palette Solids collection but especially  Lipstick which is rows 3 and 4 in the quilt below. Painters Palette Solids Pantone color of the year! The first thing I noticed where the colors  bright, the fabrics soft, light weight, and sleek! Perfect for a baby quilt or any quilt! The colors included Painters Palette Solids White, Crimson, Tomato, (2 rows) of Lipstick, Verbena, and Salmon The Herringbone Quilt Pattern by Melissa Mortensen Of Polkadot Chair  (Link to free pattern) It is a free .pdf pattern  and has a great herringbone chart that I used. It includes directions for making HST’s!  But I found a wonderful way to make lots of perfect  HST that once cut apart and sewn are 7” Half Square Triangles Using  7” Triangles on a Roll - It

Never Forget the First Responders, the families, the are still suffering! Keep these people in your prayers! I watch Americans elect people who seem to hate us and our values  be elected to Congress and the Senate! It is a scary time in America! Praying for Americans! Lisa

Image
Happy 4th of July America  I hope you all have a great time this evening take time to sit on a quilt and enjoy the fireworks! I saw this in Amy Ball’s feed @cofferingsstudio on Instagram  and ask if I could share it here!  She is so nice! I feel this way about every quilt I gift! Coffee Rings Studio Her latest quilt! I use my quilts outdoors and NO it doesn’t bother me a bit that anyone else would! Thank you Amy for letting me pass on your knowledge this 4th of July! Fireworks   Fireworks displays will be everywhere this evening and be scaring all the fur babies! Try some of these tricks to keep your animals safe! My pets will be in the house hiding! They hate the noise! Please be especially careful with sparklers and little children! If you use sparklers have a bucket of water nearby to put used ones in! Sparklers are hot long after there spark and can cause terrible burns! Stay Safe Today! Lisa
