Ooh, I'm number 1! Congratulations on a year of blogging. I use a gutter man thread predominantly, for piecing and quilting.
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS on hitting a year of blogging! I use Coats & Clark for everything -- seems as though my machine really likes that thread!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I haven't tried many different threads, I seem to be happy with when I find a thread that does not make me have to clean my machine every few hours of sewing.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary!
ReplyDeleteI use Mettler brands thread.
Gutterman and Mettler here, though would love to try some Ariful
ReplyDeletehmm for piecing I use the thread I buy at the bi-anual fabric+other stuff sale at a local sewing company (so that'S uninteressting for you). For visible quilting I like to use Gütermann 'Sulky' cotton threads.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!
Happy Blogiversary! I like Gutterman,,but have just received my first spool of Aurifil, and am looking forward to trying it. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on one year! I use coats and clark and connecting threads--though I recently tried some king tut and liked it really well. I have no idea what the weight is.
ReplyDeleteI have jut started to use Aurofil and love it! Also use Maderia rayon a lot because of the wonderful range of colours and availability locally
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary, I use aurifil in 50wt for piecing and 40wt for quilting.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteI mostly use Gutermann thread - I'd like to try Aurifil because I've heard such great things about it but I haven't found any yet!

ReplyDeleteI use Gutermann poly threads, can't tell you the wt. They are easiest available here.
Yay for a whole year. =) I love Sew Stitchy and don't have any yet, so would be so excited to win some.
ReplyDeleteI pretty much just use Gutermann, because it's a decent quality and I can get it for 50% off at Joann Fabrics when I need it. =) I'm sure that there's something better...but it works for me.
Congratulaions on the one year anniversary!
ReplyDeleteFor thread, I use Coats and Clark mostly. I'm not well versed on thread so haven't tried the higher end stuff (yet!).
Gutterman and Coats & Clark have the least amount of lint and breakage, in my humble opinion! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteHappy bloganniversary!!I most use Gutterman(for quilting and sew,DMC and Presencia perlé( to redwork).
ReplyDeleteI have so many threads but the one I use the most is Essential from Connecting Threads. Thanks for the opportunity to win your giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI've been using Coats now for a number of years but am going to be getting my hands on some Aurifil soon! We'll see how that goes!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on your anniversary! I use Coats & Clark be ause that's the easiest to find where I shop. I usually get the 100% cotton thread for piecing and quilting.
ReplyDeleteWooHoo! Congratulations! Well done! :o) So far I have been using Star 50wt for most of my piecing. As for quilting, I like both Gutterman and Presencia in 50wt.
ReplyDeleteSo far I have only used Coats and Clark. Clearly I need to branch out.
ReplyDeleteRight now I just use the Gutermann thread that Jo-ann Fabrics sells. I have wanted to try Aurifil but haven't won any yet to try. It's a little expensive to go out on a limb for. Congratulations on one year!! Yippee!
ReplyDeleteI am thread illiterate.... I've used Coats & Clark and Gutermann for piecing....I have a couple spools of Aurifil that I'm hesitant to use...you know, once you drive a Cadillac, and you get back in your hunk o' junk, it's just never the same. I will be doing my first FMQ this season...wish me luck!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the 1 year anniversary. I've only been back to quilting for about 6 months and I haven't figured out which thread I like best especially they don't carry it here in Mexico.

or the google one!
Congratulations on your anniversary. I have become partial to Aurifil thread, it seems like a finer thread and does not shed much in the machine. Take care and have a good day. Robert, from northern Iowa.
ReplyDeleteI hate to say it but my fav thread is whatever is on sale! I actually don't notice any difference between the cheaper and more expensive threads so...I buy on what's on sale! (Just like grandma taught me.)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your one year anniversary. Thanks for inviting me to join in your celebration. My favorite thread is Essential from Connecting Threads.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your one year-------it goes quickly doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI like Mettler thread.. Thank you for giving a present for your anniversary, but shouldn't we be giving you one?
ReplyDeleteI like Coats and clark though I also like the Connecting Threads thread for piecing. I have used others too Guttermen and Mettler and enjoyed them too.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your blog anniversary- may you continue to enjoy blogging. One thing that I love about blogging is meeting so many quilters from around the globe.
Regards from western Canada,

Favorite Quilting Thread......hmmmm. I'm obviously one of the 'rule breakers' I don't use an official quilting thread. My choices are dictated by color...I've used about everything you can think of to quilt with...sewing thread, tobacco twine, kite string, embroidery floss, fishing line.....

Happy Anniversary! Blogging has helped me make many lovely friends, so I hope it does the same for you.
ReplyDeleteTo your question, the answer is one: RED!
Congrats on your blog anniversary! I am able to use many different types of thread on my vintage Singer but my favorite for quilting has to be BottomLine. Thanks for sharing.
