Well to day I got a few things done we have a scenic view to look at on the way into the boone docks. I finshed a samll quilt for a Cratsy meeting I going to on the January 26, 2012. Took 2 1/2 5 in squares it is really cute. I need a friend or two but dont know where to find them. I got the new "Backyard" fabric line I am going to make a baby quilt for my godsons son due in February. Sound confusing I know. I can be that way. But a little bit at a time tomorrow hopefully some pictures of my work.

Dresden Plate Block My block is 24" x 24", the fabrics I used to make this Dresden Plate are Ombre Dots by Riley Blake and Kona Cotton Solid Coal by Robert Kaufman. I followed the directions in the EZ Make A Dresden Plate Quilt Ruler by Darlene Zimmerman. The directions are very easy to read and simple to do! So excited I completed it. They are both made from beautiful old growth oak which was reclaimed from the original train depot in Weston (Lewis County), West Virginia. Train service was established in Weston around 1880.
