Mystery Winner
It is Tuesday and I am linking up to "Quilting by the River". The button is on the right. I tried to link up last week and I couldn't get the linky to work with my IPad. Pop-up blocker is turned off for this week, maybe I'll get attached?
I have experienced a lot of difficulty learning to use my IPad2. In two weeks, I have deleted my blog. Made posts full of mistakes and couldn't correct them. Camera and picture problems. If you know of helpful apps please let me know. It is an ongoing search for apps to improve your blogging experience.
Speaking of the iPad, it needed a padded bag to keep it safe from little hands when not in use. Here is what I did: I took two 10" squares from a Connecting Threads Layer Cake, some Kona scraps, and leftover batting. I just started sewing and this is what I came up with.
I practiced my straight line quilting with my walking foot. The best part "I made it myself". Don't you enjoy listening to the hum of the machine as you create something you thought up. I enrolled in a Craftsy course on finishing you quilts. You should follow the link below and check their website out. I really enjoy the BOM course, looking at all the great projects others have made, and they even have patterns on the site.
Craftsy Block of the Month for April. Small hexagons and hand sewing are very difficult for me. So, I am using a hexagon template and my sewing machine trying to do the blocks for this month. I have only gotten this far.
I think it looks pretty good, if I do say so myself.
Now for the Mystery Giveaway! The prizes I decided to give the winner are:
1. A flag block kit
2. A jelly roll
3. a charm pack
A total of seven people commented on the two posts, minus my beautiful daughter. I took the names, stuck them in a cup and David drew out a winner.
Did I show you my Easter Bunny?
Isn't he cute!
Now, for the winner of the Mystery Giveaway is Karen at Quilting, Losing and Tea congratulations I can't wait to see what you make. I laughed when David pulled your name, I will put those scraps in there too. Please contact me with your address and I will get it in the mail.
Until later - lisa

Congratulations to Karen and thank you for a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! Pretty exciting! Thank you for your generosity. I plan to pay it forward with the jelly roll fabric. We have a group at work that made quilts for Haiti last year. This year we are making small ones for a daycare in India. These kids are so poor they can't afford a blanket to sleep on during naptime.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! =D
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat Ipad bag! I don't have one so can't help you with it but it sounds like people really look them. Congrats to Karen and your great giveaway!
