So who takes the Christmas fabric and makes a Halloween mini quilt?
That would be me!
Tutorial
Print and cut out a random spider 3" or so. This helped when I raw edge applicated it on the 5" square! But I am getting ahead of myself. I outlined the spider on some iron on double sided interfacing! Then centered everything on the red cross in the green square. Ironed it on the 5" x 5" square. Sewed the raw edge applique then the web string. I am sure there is a better word, but I cannot think of it! Sew the 2 1/2" borders on, match at top, trim! I do sides first then top and bottom. Make a quilt sandwich and start quilting! Trying to think like a spider is hard so it is pretty straight but at an angle! Not the greatest quilting but I did it myself! Trim and square up! Sew on your binding, mine is 2" wide! Hand sew the back of binding down, I think it looks better even if I hate doing it. Tip: The more you do the faster you get!
Hope you like it! Lisa
