Family Friendly Restaurant But Change Your Babies In The Car

Family friendly restaurant but change your babies in the car!
As many families travel during the holiday, I thought I would warn you!

While traveling home Zoey was fussy as we left the hospital after dark and traveling West on I64. We decided to stop at a new Burger King we had seen in Winchester to eat. I grabbed a few baby things from the car to diaper and feed her before I ate. Much to my surprise I found no changing station in a week old store and was more surprised when the Assistant Manager informed me that Burger Kings do not install Baby Changing Stations in there stores! An item that could easily be purchased for less than $200.

Not worth the business they loose from young families and grandparents Burger King!

My daughter was transferred to University of KY Hospital. The Pseudo cysts on her pancreas are small and do not need to be removed at this time. She got home yesterday and is resting comfortably. In the mean time we have little Zoey back with us for care and love.

Leave a comment if this is common practice for restaurants and which ones! I think this is pitiful that a large franchise would not require at least one in the Ladies room. But I know a few single Dads who are raising children in diapers. Unless something changes our whole family decided to eat in restaurants Zoey is welcomed at even if she is at home!
I am interested in your opinion!

  1. Glad to hear your daughter is doing well and back at home. You are a wonderful set of grandparents, stepping up to take care while it is needed.

  2. Yay! Glad everyone is well!

I haven't needed a baby station in a long while, I'll honestly tell you I havent noticed who has them and who doesn't. Then even bigger truth - I have an little OCD like tick with public bathrooms. I probably wouldn't have used it when I needed in favor of the back seat of the car. :)

  3. My brother felt the same way especially when they only put them in the ladies room. So to prove a point he would use them ladies room to change his kids. It wasn't long before they put them in the men's room.

  4. Here is Australia, the normally put a fold down change table in the disable toilet - which is a good idea as you can get a pram in there & a toddler whilst you change the baby.
AND.... I'm just catching up on my blog reading ... hospital? Eeks, I wish for speedy recovery & hugs to you and all your family.

  5. I would definitely be one to boycott these places. I am a grammy who keeps her grands and if the little one needed a warm changing place I would expect to find one........Hope you turned around and left!

  6. I don't have children, but I agree with you. I probably would have march up to the ordering counter and changed her there to make my point!

  7. I support your attitude completely. I hardly ever go to BK anyway, so didn't realize they didn't have them.

  8. Glad to hear your daughter is home.
