I am new to all this, I bet everyone says that. I live in the boon docks of WV with my husband, grandson, and mother. I have two grown daughters that live on their own in cities they always tell me I live in the boon docks so thats the name of my blog now. I like to do lots of things especially making items for my friends and family. I sew quilts, knit, crochet, scrapbook, and try new things

Welcome everyone! I hope you enjoy your here In The Boon Docks! I am excited to be participating in the Dots on Dots Blog Hop which is being hosted by Madame Samm @ Sew We Quilt and Corrie @ Quilt Taffy . Thank you both for all you have done! Dresden Plate Block My block is 24" x 24", the fabrics I used to make this Dresden Plate are Ombre Dots by Riley Blake and Kona Cotton Solid Coal by Robert Kaufman. I followed the directions in the EZ Make A Dresden Plate Quilt Ruler by Darlene Zimmerman. The directions are very easy to read and simple to do! So excited I completed it. Greg (Cartwright's Creations) & I A note from Greg Dear Readers I have provided two seam rippers to Lisa so she can have one and one to give away. They are both made from beautiful old growth oak which was reclaimed from the original train depot in Weston (Lewis County), West Virginia. Train service was established in Weston around 1880. This wood is representative of a great part of my passion for this venture in woodworking for me – that is finding wood with a story to it.
