Festival

Well the Festival has began and I am already behind. I do have a bright idea, as you can see here:

"Fresh" by Deb Strain from Moda

It is not to late to join in the fun, you have until April 22, 2012, to post you creation over at

festival of half square Triangles

Craftsy BOM blocks for April, block 1 completed. Hexagons by hand are impossible for me. I have difficulties sewing with my hands so I had to use my back up, my handy dandy sewing machine. I need to give her a name. But we will save that for another post.

I am helping out a friend and making a few of these Log Cabin Blocks for something she is working on. I know nothing about the fabrics except the solids are Robert Kaufman "Kona". My husband now wants a log cabin designed quilt for our bed.

Saturday was "Opening Day" around these parts for Little League Baseball. This is my little catcher at the bat. They grow up so fast, enjoy the time while it is here!

Saturday Morning, I decided to make these easy stroller blankets for some of the team members baby sisters. The weather on some days cools so fast when the wind blows. I thought they would be good to keep them warm. The fabric came off the clearance shelf at Walmart, a kit to make a hat and jacket, for $5, this worked out better. I practice my zig-zag stitch.

I am going to the "Linky party Tuesday over at

Quilting by the River

. Click on Quilting by the River and join me.

Lastly, I am back to using my old Acer Netbook to do my blog. My new ipad would not load my post yesterday. Then when I tried this morning it acted like it was loading the post and then it just disappeared. No idea where it went, so I rewrote the post this morning on the computer the iPad was meant to replace. Don't think I will give it away anytime soon.

Until next time,

Lisa

Look what the UPS man brought me last night. I won this over at Melanie's blog.

Thank you Melanie at http://www.asewingjournal.blogspot.com Hoot hoot!

  5. I love those brights Lisa! I was playing with a little bit of bright Deb Strain fabric today - Fresh Flowers. Working on my Challenge Quilt for this Saturday. Not sure I am going to make it. When I tried to start stitching the applique down, the tension was all off on my machine.
