Finished?

I went looking for fabric to make tote bags for teacher's appreciation day. I was surprised just how expensive the material cost. I went back home and used the material I bought on clearance to make a tablecloth. David was happy and so was his teacher.

I decided that since Yard Sale season has started that I will look for duck fabric (I think that is what it is called) when I go to the sales. I found these two beauties right down the road from my house.

A heavy duty shower curtain like new! It will make quite a few tote bags. Cost .50 cents and strips look great on tote bags.

Now I love this! A twin size bed cover $4.00. Thrifty me is going to chop it up and sew it into a back throw for my couch and the rest is future tote bag material. It is beautiful heavy fabric. My favorite word this summer is going to be recycled. No $14 a yard for me.

I made this scarf for a lady at church, she was so happy to receive it. It made me happier giving it to her. Do you like giving things way to make people happy?

I still love Crafty Block of the Month Craftsy Courses This is block 9 - Modern Log Cabin Block I love how it turned out.

I finally gave in and bought a Swoon pattern. I want to swoon too!
Well that is it for now except I am going to Link up with Connie at Quilting by the River

Until next time, Lisa
