In The Mail

I just love walking to the mailbox! Just to see if there is something besides BILLS in it. Today I got three packages and I am so excited! Two of those goodies are winnings from giveaways I entered last month! It is uplifting to win things!

The Winnings

First package is hand dyed fabric from Cynthia, a talented designer and awesome artist! She designed the fabric I used in my infinity scarf is Kona Modern Quilts, Merlot Color-story, and blogs at Cynthia Frenette. Pretty fabric that I will use in something special. Cynthia has a great blog and very nice giveaways, check her out! Thank you Cynthia, the fabric is beautiful and I love the little extra, so nice of you to have this giveaway!

Cynthia is so sweet she threw in some rick rack and a little heart! It is always fun to find something extra in a package!

My second package was from Joanna at Shape Moth, Unique Textile Art. Another very talented woman, her giveaway was through the Fat Quarter Shop, 10 fat quarters of Lemon Cosmos by Laura Gunn, Michael Miller Fabric! I just love this line! What a great giveaway! Fabric to pet on, it is so soft, eeek, I am in love! Joanna has a very modern blog and her work is amazing please take the time to look at her pillows she just made! Thank you Joanna and her sponsor Fat Quarter Shop!

Shopping for Deals

I am a real fabric junky! My hubby says more fabric comes in than quilts go out! He is right, patient, wonderful, and I love him. My stash needs to start getting used up! The problem is I may buy several 1/2 yards of one line on sale, then wait for another line to go on sale before having enough for the quilt. But I cannot afford to purchase designer fabric at full price. If I wait for sales I can purchase designer fabric at almost the same price as at JoAnn's, Hobby Lobby, or Walmart. I still shop at all three but if I can buy designer on sale, I will!

Pink Chalk Fabrics has some great sales. I got 1/2 yards of each of these, Storybook Lane Cuckoo Clocks, Creative Thursday Santa Claus is Coming to Town Red Robin, Echino Decoro Frame Pink, MoMo Oh Deer Blossom & Bright Sky, and 1 yard of MoMo Oh Deer! Enchanted Forest Creamsicle for $36.70 before shipping.

***Kathy Mack the owner of Pink Chalk Fabrics has a wonderful blog Pink Chalk Studio. She is having a Giveaway of things she got at Fall Quilt Market!

These are all fabrics I have wanted for awhile so I waited! Yippee! Now back to making swaps!

Other great places to watch for sales are Hawthorne Threads, The Intrepid Thread, Fat Quarter Shop, and Missouri Star Quilt Co.. Well I better get back to my stack of stuff to do!

PLEASE GO VOTE!! XX Lisa
