Around The World Blog Hop
Around The World Blog Hop
If you have been following along,
It really has been all over the world
and I have enjoyed reading them all!
My name is Lisa and Welcome to "In The Boon Docks"
I was very happy to be asked to participate
by Lea Anne of Podunk Pretties!
Lea Anne is very talented quilter, has a beautiful blog and is a quilt pattern designer. Best thing is her patterns are free (not for much longer probably), yes she is that good! My personal favorite is Cherry on Top Picnic Quilt
I have been told that I live in
"Gods Country"
out here in a little corner
of West Virginia, USA
My husband and I
raise kids, animals, fruits and vegetables!
I a quilter, the kind that pieces quilt tops together!
I sew making small, medium, and large projects!
Question 1: What am I working on?
I just finished the Flowering Snowball Mini Quilt above it incorporated working with curves, and hand quilting, both out of my comfort zone. I'll just say, I will do more curves in the future, and leave it at that! I just completed a project for one of my sponsors that I can't reveal until Wednesday, (9/18), so I hope you come back and have a look.
Ok, I'll show you the back! I have sewn for almost 8 years and I backed this project in one of the first fabrics I ever bought, by Susan Branch in 2007! She does such wonderful things with watercolors!
Below is my next project!
Question 2: How does my work differ from others of its genre?
As a blogger I am not trying to make money. I have blog buttons but no ads. I do try to find high quality items to giveaway to the public. My target area - anyone.
Without anyone being left out, mailing costs make that harder to do!
I write about what I find interesting
hoping any reader will relate.
Sometime I bomb but I do try.
In quilting and sewing, I am all over the place.
I see something and want to make it!
It does not matter if t is modern or traditional.
I am a fabric addict I have to admit
All the rest, kids, animals, growing, gardening, canning, and life!
A happy snapshot of my life shared in a positive light!
I wonder if I fit into any genre?
Question 3: Why do I write/create what I do?
Because I love it! From baby chicks to a new quilt I find it all interesting! Somethings are not share worthy but sometimes even those issues need to covered!
Question 4: how does my writing/creating process work?
Photography - it all comes down to pictures!
I see a picture of something and say "I can make that"!
I take a picture of canning peach jam and go from there!
Now, it is my turn to invite three more bloggers
to participate in the Around The World Blog Hop.
All three are talented artists in the world
and I am honored to know them all.
Each of them are professional, creative, and unique individuals!
I can't wait for you to meet them on September 22, 2014.
Mary of Groovity
Christopher of The Tattooed Quilter
Amy of [Amy's] Crafty Shenanigans
Thank you all for reading today!
I appreciate your time!
Create and be unique!
Lisa
