Welcome to
In The Boon Docks
for the Eclectic Elements Blog Hop!
I have used Tim Holtz's products for years!
He has created everything
from scrapbooking paper, ink, to fabric!
So once I started sewing and realized
he was designing fabric
I bought a 10" layer cake of Eclectic Elements and kept it.
I knew one day I would make something
for my husband or grandson.
It is a unisex fabric making it great for boys and men.
When Nicki contacted me about this blog hop
I just had to say "YES"!
Then I started thinking what could I make
my guys for Valentines Day!
It has to be useful so it doesn't get tossed
into a drawer, never to be seen again!
Thank you Nicki @
Sunshine Reflections
for inviting me to participate and organizing
this hop you have done such a great job!
I cannot wait to see what everyone has created!
For my Grandson,
I decided I would make a pouch for his headphones!
With a little Velcro to close it!
I think it will work out great instead of just throwing them in his backpack! These are great headphones for kids! We went through 5 sets of earbuds before I found these Sony ones on sale!
I quilted each bag with batting,
using a decorative stitch
and Aurifil 50 wt. #1154 (Dusty Orange),
I love this color!
I used Aurifil 50 wt. #1158 (Med Gray)
to sew both projects together!
I love Aurifil threads,
they always have the color
I want to make a project "POP"!
All Fabric: Eclectic Elements, Tim Holtz, Coats
Quilting Thread: Aurifil #1154 (Dusty Orange)
Sewing Thread: Aurifil #1158 (Med Gray)
For my Husband,
I made this great pouch
for his beard trimmer things
(I hate to call them things
but it has a lot of little parts and they all fit)!
