I saw this on Instagram @fatquartershop today and thought this is so me! Do you sew with your shoes on or off? I just have to feel the pedal with my toes to get my speed right!
Welcome my friends and those who maybe visiting for the first time! Today, I am so excited to introduce you to a true West Virginian Artesian, Greg Cartwright , of Cartwright's Creations . His items are sold in historical shops throughout West Virginia. He is a lover of reclaimed wood of historical nature and creator of works of art! Greg (Cartwright's Creations) & I A note from Greg Dear Readers I have provided two seam rippers to Lisa so she can have one and one to give away. They are both made from beautiful old growth oak which was reclaimed from the original train depot in Weston (Lewis County), West Virginia. Train service was established in Weston around 1880. This wood is representative of a great part of my passion for this venture in woodworking for me – that is finding wood with a story to it. I must admit that my main focus is pens and pencils but it really doesn’t matter what I am making as long as it is from wood (although I have recently added pens...
Update This Giveaway is closed! And the winner is ... #105 gpc March 5, 2014 at 12:13 PM I follow your blog! :) Think Ruffles Blog Hop Welcome to "In The Boon Docks" and Day 1 of the "Think Ruffles Blog Hop"! My name is Lisa and I am so happy you are here today to see my quilt with ruffles! I have to thank Madam Samm @ Sew We Quilt and Amy (Head Cheerleader)@ Sew Incredibly Crazy for arranging this great hop! What is a ruffle? There are lots of different kinds and Madam Samm left it open to interpretation. She showed us how to make some and at the time I was thinking; ruffled bloomers, ruffled dresses, ruffled pillows. Then I saw a quilt in a magazine with what looked like ruffles! I kind of browsed through the issue of Quilt-it today , March/April 2014 issue and left it in my rocking chair and went to work. The second time I read the "Garden Path" pattern by Ann Baxter, (I had already made the quilt), it read "ruching", you don...

I'm definitely a shoes-off girl! I don't mind having my socks on so I can feel the pedal, but those shoes are kicked off at the door!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd be pressing too hard on the pedal if I kept my shoes on!
ReplyDeleteShoes off in the summer, but in the winter my feet can't handle the tile floor.
ReplyDeleteSocks or bare feet depending on the weather, I hardly ever wear shoes in the house and wouldn't outside if it was feasible.
ReplyDeleteShoes off - barefoot or socks - but shoes OFF.
ReplyDeleteBarefoot! I thought it was just me. Glad to hear I'm not alone!
ReplyDeleteNo shoes here either.
ReplyDeleteI always wear shoes or sandals. I've stepped on one too many pins to risk going barefoot.
ReplyDeleteShoes off! I can't get a good feel for the pedal with shoes on.
