Bloggers Quilt Festival
The festival begins today over at Blogger's Quilt Festival :: Fall 2017 Edition - Amy's Creative Side , it has been a few years since I entered a quilt! Amy Ellis is so talented and busy but still takes the time to put on the Bloggers Quilt Festival for everyone! Thank you Amy for being so supportive of other Quilt Bloggers and the quilting community!
I appreciate looking at everyone's beautiful quilts and their stories!
Welcome to "In The Boon Docks", I am Lisa, and I spend my time when I can sewing and quilting! I love to blog, so if you see things you like please follow! I have a family and live in the boon docks, at least when we moved to West Virginia from Virginia Beach, Virginia, that is what our oldest daughter would say! She was really tickled when I named the blog. I learned to sew in my late 40s, from some wonderful, patient women at WV Quilt ! Now I mainly learn new techniques by the seat of my pants. I try to share that knowledge with others here and on Lisa Johnson (@intheboondocks) • Instagram. I have sewn for fabric stores, fabric companies and I am an Aurifil Artisan! If I had a dream job this would be it! I also enjoy swapping gifts with other sewists! This Mini Quilt I did for one such swap! Mailing it to someone else is exciting and scary at the same time! Hopefully, she will love it as much as my family does!
