2022 - Triangles On a Roll

Hello, I am still here! Just been absent awhile, but I am still sewing! Got a phone to do everything in one place still working the kinks out!


Triangles on a Roll is a great product to make perfect half square triangles! You can get them in so many sizes! Great if you want a little or a lot!
They are available at Fat Quarter Shop

As the name says, they come on a roll and you just cut off how many you need! Take 2 fabrics, right sides together and pin! Then just sew! Simple as that! Easy peasy!



Then just cut them apart!
I find it is more accurate to use a rotary cutter! 
But if you don’t have one scissors due fine, 
just cut on the line!


Pull the papers of and press!


Then you just sew them together in whatever pattern you want! Here I used Pinwheel Variation Block by Sweet. Little Quilts. The fabric is Spring Chicken by

Thanks you Madame Samm Sew We Quilt! and Erin Sew At Home Mummy for being the best cheerleaders in the world. Madame Samm I love how you keep thinking up great hops! You keep us challenged, that is for sure! I love "Stitching On Prints" it is so fun! I tried out DMC Cotton Perle, Aurifil, and a pack of cheap stuff with great colors. The Cotton Perle is inexpensive and works pretty well. The cheap stuff is awful it is hard to pull through the fabric and I will not buy again. The Aurifil is just right. I hope to get more and start "Stitching On Print" a series. Where we work together once a week and learn stitches. I love the effect in the mug rug. April Showers Blog Hop Day 1! Aurifil Thread Giveaway - Black and White

Let's talk thread! As Quilters and Sewers - thread binds everything we create together. Some will say the most important item is fabric, spend the extra on fabric, I say buy the best thread! Cheap cotton threads breaks and rots after a few years. Have a problem with your thread breaking try a spool of Aurifil 50 wt. thread! It may just cure it! Just a side note - if you have old thread that was given to you, use it as a decoration don't use it in your machine. Never buy old thread for sewing, it will just cause you a lot of frustration. When I needed a bag to hold my smaller rulers, I chose Aurifil 50 wt thread to zig zag the bag because it is strong and durable! I use white to sew almost everything light colored and that includes topstitching. I went back months searching my most used color and go figure it is Aurifil 50 wt. thread #2021, Natural White! It only goes to say that my other most used color of Aurifil 50 wt. thread is #2692, Black! Sometimes topstitching
